Does the lucky marketer exist?

Some people seem to have all the luck, don’t they?

When it comes to marketing, all of their products and services do well.

They launch them at just the right time.

Customers love whatever they are selling.

They get the messaging, pricing and positioning just right.

It all seems so effortless.

To what extent does luck play a part in marketing?

Well, it’s in there somewhere.

However, I have found that turning up every day and sweating the small stuff makes me luckier.

I spend at least two hours working on my marketing each day.

Much of this time is spent thinking, learning and writing.

I answer questions via The Marketing Compass website.

I am currently writing a book on copywriting (22,000 words so far and counting).

I chip away at my SEO, send out an e-newsletter, communicate with people via social media and work on the rest of the promotional mix.

I get up at 6:30am and start work early.

We are facing unprecedented times.

However now is not the time to rely on luck.
