Vibe coding enables anyone to write computer code. It is an AI-driven method of software development. Natural language (i.e. English) commands are used to direct ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor etc in generating, improving and debugging code such as HTML.

Rather than writing code line by line, the focus is on describing the desired outcome (the ‘vibe’) whilst the AI manages the technical details and writes the code for you.

This creates an iterative, experimental workflow that resembles a collaborative ‘pair programming’ partnership between developer and AI.

Vibe coding is accelerating software development; lowering barriers to coding; enhancing creativity and experimentation; improving collaboration; supporting rapid prototyping; enabling personalised software solutions; transforming education.

On a more mundane level, it enables me to create new sections for my WordPress website, without adding a plugin.

By way of example, I used vibe coding to create an FAQ section within my ChatGPT prompt training page. It helps that I have a conceptual understanding of HTML, however, I am not a professional coder.
