AI in 1952
► In 1952, British computer scientist Christopher Strachey created the first artificially intelligent computer program. It could play the board game draughts (checkers). Arthur Samuel at IBM later advanced Strachey’s work by introducing machine learning, enabling the program to improve through experience.
