As Neo in The Matrix said: “I know Kung Fu,” after the combat programs were loaded into his Matrix alter ego. Now you can do something similar, if perhaps slightly less dramatic, using Claude Skills.
All of us have skills, of one type or another. If you can touch type, that’s a skill. If you are a good negotiator, that takes skill. If you can write an engaging LinkedIn post, that is another skill.
Claude, the AI from Anthropic, has a library of built in Skills. In addition, you can create and add new ones.
Claude Skills can improve your productivity, as well as the quality of your work. They comprise instructions that provide Claude with specialised knowledge for a specific type of task.
Instead of Claude relying only on its general training, a Skill tells the AI how you (or Anthropic) want a task done, such as producing a properly formatted Word document, creating a spreadsheet, or following a specific business or marketing process.
If there is a skill that you can teach someone, you can create a Claude Skill.
Here are some ideas for skills for marketers: content repurposing, keyword clustering, FAQ builder (AI friendly), headline writer, press release writer, LinkedIn post writer.
